About
Soil testing is a management tool to help in decisions related to fertilizer applications. It provides a scientific basis for maintaining optimum soil fertility levels and protects against the expense and environmental hazards resulting from excessive fertilizer applications and other agricultural practices.
The lab provides many services (extension; training; improving agricultural practices) for farmers and academic students and researchers.
A laboratory‘s Quality Control Program is designed to assure the production of accurate, precise and legally defensible data.
Soil testing includes: soil texture, pH, EC, total and active limestone, organic matter, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Calcium andMagnesium in routine analysis. Further analyses for research are provided: Iron, Copper, Zinc, Manganese and other heavy metals.
